Angel's Rest, OR

Date: November 10, 2007

Length: about 4.6 miles

With: Chris Lee

GPS Coordinates of region: TBD

This hike was nothing but up. The elevation gain was 1540 feet.

We had a great view of the Columbia River gorge for most of the hike.

Excellent trail condition

The woods are still recovering from fire

Eventually we ended up on the top rock

We left this hike until rather late in the day. You'll see it was actually pretty dark by the time we got back to the car.

But it means we got to watch the sunset from the top of the mountain

The trail was hard to follow through this boulder field

With about a quarter mile left to go, time to celebrate... it was a good hike. After enjoying the view at the top a little too long, we practically jogged down the trail, taking only a short break for some much needed trail mix.
