Quebec Run Wild Area, PA

Date: June 12, 2005

Length: 6.5 miles, 4:15p - 8:15p

With: Jason Pratt

GPS Coordinates of region:

beautiful ferns in the meadow

hemlock area with no undergrowth

jason standing in either mill run or quebec run

trail was undercut by a recent flood

so was this tree

Arisaema triphyllum, "Jack-in-the-pulpit"

don't know what these are

hiking near sunset

Kalmia latifolia, "Mountain Laurel"

see the blue splotches on the trees? at some points, this trail was marked a little too often. at others, not enough.

this is the "grist mill ruins", but judging from what's left, it could have been the ruins of anything.

off of the trail we found some baby ducks...

...

...and some just plain weird ducks.
